I am a Castleberry Independent School District alumni, recently completing 20 years of service in CISD at REACH High School and TRUCE Learning Center. I have served 12 years as principal at REACH High School as well, concurrently, two years as the principal at TRUCE Learning Center. Prior, I was the English Language Arts instructor at REACH High School. Also, I am the Teen Parenting Coordinator for the district.

REACH High School
REACH High School is a non-disciplinary, accelerated, school of choice, established in 1995, that recognizes and affirms the inherent worth and ability of students who are not successful in the regular school setting. REACH High School creates learning opportunities that focus on academic, social, and behavioral development.
REACH is an acronym that stands for: Responsibility, Employability, Achievement, Citizenship, and Harmony.
REACH High School provides self-paced, individualized accelerated instruction to students in computerized as well as accelerated direct-teach classes. The curriculum follows state and district guidelines so that the student may earn the necessary credits for a diploma. The student are also prepared to pass the state assessments as well as prepared for success in a post-secondary institution.
We are very proud to have over 600 graduates from REACH High School!
TRUCE Learning Center
TRUCE Learning Center is the district alternative education placement (DAEP) facility for Castleberry ISD. The purpose of TRUCE Learning Center (TLC) is to provide an educational environment for students who violate certain standards of conduct for students in grades 6th - 12th. TLC provides a combination of academics and behavioral intervention strategies to meet the needs of at-risk students.
TRUCE is an acronym that stands for: The Real Understanding of Completing an Education.
